Demand that County Conservation Districts Protect Water Quality in PA

From PennFuture (http://www.pennfuture.org):

Sadly, Pennsylvania has thousands of miles of rivers and streams too polluted to enjoy because of run-off from farm fields that contains animal waste.

To reduce polluted run-off from farm fields, we need more inspections to ensure compliance with the rules. Unfortunately, the PA DEP is too underfunded and too short-staffed to handle this alone. With current staffing levels, it would take PA DEP more than 150 years to inspect each farm in Pennsylvania’s portion of the Chesapeake Bay watershed. So, we need the County Conservation Districts to help out and do their part for clean water.

We need your help to make sure they enforce the rules. Go to https://actionnetwork.org/petitions/help-ensure-pennsylvanians-have-clean-water-to-enjoy-this-summer-2 and demand County Conservation Districts protect water quality and make sure animal waste stays out of our waters.

With your help, we are working towards a future with clean water for all Pennsylvania families and communities.
