From the National Religious Campaign Against Torture (http://www.nrcat.org):

We need your help to share #CounterActHate messages on social media, in particular Twitter, tomorrow, September 9.  One easy way is through this Thunderclap – http://thndr.me/XfTyWI – which you can use to allow a tweet to automatically post to your account tomorrow along with hundreds of other people/groups.

The anti-Muslim group ACT for America had scheduled over 50 protests for September 9th across the country, though in the wake of the Charlottesville protests they moved their national support to an online action.  However, some in-person events are going ahead with local organizing.   We invite clergy and faith leaders to add their names on this statement rejecting the hate of groups like ACT for America.

Sample Tweets:

  • Anti-Muslim hate rallies cancelled, but must remain vigilant. Now is the time to add your voice to #CounterActHate http://bit.ly/CounterHate
  • Opinion: Jews and Muslims are natural allies against religious discrimination http://bit.ly/2eLwcoC #CounterActHate
  • OPED: Reject Anti-Muslim Hate Groups After Charlottesville by @Cizmik_Change http://bit.ly/2wNvDFC #CounterActHate
  • We reject hate and work for a world uplifting the common good. http://bit.ly/CounterHate #CounterActHate
  • Forced to back out of rallies, today @ACTforAmerica is taking their hate online instead. Online or off, hate has no place here. #CounterActHate
