From the Interfaith Network on Drone Warfare (https://www.interfaithdronenetwork.org/):

The last of the Interfaith Network on Drone Warfare’s five free half hour videos on drone warfare was recently finished–just in time to use to educate congregations in the new program year on this emerging, challenging issue.

The Religious Community and Drone Warfare (see preview and other info at top right of link) includes interviews with a wide range of faith leaders who offer their theological perspectives on this deeply troubling faith issue.

This is an excellent, timely resource for raising drone warfare as a faith issue in congregations. There is also a Study Guide to help a facilitator lead a 25 minute discussion for the normal one hour slot for the educational program.

Previously, INDW produced four other free half hour videos. The first was Moral and Safe? War, Peace, Drone Warfare, and the Religious Community, which introduces the topic with an overview by top experts.

It has been revised and updated to conclude with faith leader perspectives specifically on drone warfare.  That video also has a study guide to facilitate a discussion that can follow the screening of the video.

In addition, we offer condensed half hour versions of the outstanding full length documentaries National Bird; Droneand Unmanned: America’s Drone Wars.

As we rapidly approach a new program year in September, this would be an ideal time to plan to screen one or more of these videos. If you decide to show it in your congregation, click here and then on Read More under the one(s) you plan to show.

In addition to the online versions that can be streamed through WiFi, we also now have these videos available on DVD, so let us know if you need one!

The INDW Project can offer support–including funding of up to $100 for equipment rental, refreshments, etc.–if you show one or more videos to your congregation.

Feel free to reply to cfpa@peacecoalition.org or call (609) 924-5022 if you have any questions or needs.

P.S. We are also looking for people willing to help organize more regional interfaith conferences on drone warfare, for which INDW could provide some funding and other support. Please reply to cfpa@peacecoalition.org if you are interested!
