A Plea for Peace in Philadelphia—August 9, Philadelphia

Wednesday, August 9/Nagasaki Day@ 7:30 pm – 8:30 pm, Sts. Peter & Paul Cathedral Basilica, 18th Street and the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, on the east side of Logan Square in Philadelphia. A Plea for Peace from Philadelphia. Remember the Forgotten Fire of Nagasaki.  Remember Nagasaki and ground zero for the world’s second atomic bombing: Saint Mary’s Urakami Cathedral.Vigil in front of the Basilica. Bell Tolling, Readings, Solemn Candlelight Vigil for Peace and the abolition of nuclear weapons.  Co-sponsored by Phila. Catholic Peace Fellowship.
