October 6, 2017 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

From POWER (http://www.powerinterfaith.org/):

It exists. Lancaster shortchanged by $40 Million.

Organize with POWER to Do Something about it

Hear REV. GREGORY HOLSTON of POWER discuss how Lancaster gets its fair share

THURS NOVEMBER 2ND – 7:30 PM TO 9:30 PM
Lancaster Theological Seminary
555 W James St, Lancaster, PA 17603

nsooy@powerinterfaith.org Nathan Sooy

Many have doubted the reality of the racial discrimination in PA State Education funding. Some say that they need to see proof. POWER’s detailed research comprehensively shows that districts with similar rates of poverty that are almost all White get higher per-pupil amounts of basic education funding than districts that are more racially diverse. If 100% of PA Education funding were distributed according to PA’s Fair Funding Formula, Lancaster City Schools would receive an additional $40 Million dollars per year.

Rev. Gregory Holston will discuss how people of faith can make a difference.
