It’s hard to believe 2017 is over. What a year it’s been.
From the revival of Keystone XL to climate disasters in Puerto Rico, Houston, California and beyond, this has been a year of unprecedented climate devastation. It’s also been a year of unprecedented climate resistance, and we’re just getting started.
We’re hosting a big event to kick off the New Year and we want you to be a part of it. On January 31st, the day after Trump’s first State of the Union, powerful speakers including Rev. Lennox Yearwood of the Hip Hop Caucus, Varshini Prakash of the Sunrise Movement, Jessica Lorena Rangel of Eyes of a Dreamer, Adriana Voss-Andreae from 350 PDX, Bill McKibben, co-founder of 350.org, and many other grassroots organizers and movement leaders will unveil a clear roadmap for our movement in 2018 and beyond.
This event will be livestreamed and watched by thousands of people across the country who are ready to get to work to build a Fossil Free world. Will you join them? At the Jan 31st event, our movement leaders will map out how together we will:
- Continue to resist the Trump Administration’s ongoing attacks on our climate and communities
- Build power towards the 2018 and 2020 elections
- Unite to secure the lasting change needed on climate through effective local campaigns, including passing Fossil Free resolutions in your city or town.
We have to stop the Trump administration’s rampage on the environment and our communities, before it’s too late. To do that, we need to act fast and build power from the ground up.
2018 will be crucial in the fight for a Fossil Free world. Now more than ever, it’s all hands on deck, and we need you with us.
