Help Build Public/Political Will to Protect Public Lands National Park Service Anniversary

From Creation Justice Ministries (http://www.creationjustice.org/):

On August 25, the National Park Service will mark 100 years since its founding. Who will celebrate? In recent years, it has been documented both by public lands agencies and the outdoor industry that the people who most often visit, work for, and weigh in on the stewardship of public lands do not reflect the full diversity of our country. The traditional mainstream environmental movement is not big or broad enough to celebrate and steward public lands at the scale necessary. We can change that.

Creation Justice Ministries is active in the Next 100 Coalition, which has met with numerous decision-makers asking them to use the occasion of the 100 year anniversary of the National Park Service to initiate practical actions that show they understand: Building the public and political will to steward God’s creation on public lands will require all of us being respected by, reflected in, and engaged with public lands.

Momentum is building. More than one fourth of US Senators have signed a letter to the President highlighting our concern and request for action. Now is the time to tell the Obama Administration we want to broaden, deepen, and diversify the constituency of people who know and care about protecting God’s creation on public lands.

Join us in our call for President Obama to issue a memorandum that will guide public lands agencies toward a more diverse future at http://action.creationjustice.org/p/dia/action3/common/public/?action_KEY=19261.

Thank you for all you do for God’s creation.
