Throughout these past weeks I have been moved, inspired and grateful for the many who are stepping up, in person and online, to help us venture into this ever-changing Coronavirus landscape.

Exploring the breadth & depth of these resources is truly astonishing!  And more continue to show up every day!  So, as we lean into the shadows of isolation, quarantine,  scarcity and fear, I am grateful there are more than enough nurturing and inspiring resources to help us remember “this too shall pass”.  And we will be better for it.

~Please give yourself the time to take in at least one of these gifts.   There is so much wisdom, comfort, hope and resilience building within each one.  I so want that for you.~

  • Here are free videos on self-compassion with two renowned teachers who integrate mindfulness and psychotherapy.  When we learn the oft neglected (and sorely needed) skill of self-compassion it tills & fertilizes our ‘ground of being’.  And from that place we more naturally & fully extend our compassion to others.

  • The app (and book) Ten Percent Happier is my daily go to.  In fact, the app’s sleep meditations always ease me into dreamland no matter what.  Now, for free, there are live guided meditations every weekday at 3pm EST.  Today was Tara Brach and she invariably soothes my soul.  DAN HARRIS calls these (usually half hour) meditations a “virtual break from social distancing” and I know how much we need it these days.  Go to:  https://www.tenpercent.com/live
  • And then there’s the incredible TARA BRACH.  I met her at an 8 day intensive retreat many years ago when she first “came out” as a Buddhist nun and psychologist.  Having watched her grow into being a leading “Guiding Light” in our world has been pure joy.  As she states: “Mindfulness and compassion practices can help us find an inner refuge, and deepen our loving connection with each other.”  Tara is a sure and steady beacon to lead us into that refuge.  Every Wednesday she also offers videos & talks: https://www.tarabrach.com/talks-audio-video/
