New Sanctuary Movement Seeking Development and Communications Coordinator

We are looking for someone to join our dynamic team building a faith-based grassroots movement for immigrant justice. The Development and Communications Coordinator will work with the Executive Director to set a development strategy, maintain and build our base of individual donors, write grants and coordinate our social media and website.

Responsibilities include:

  • Set and implement fundraising strategy
  • Cultivate current donors and build new donors
  • Maintain and grow monthly donors, manage donor database
  • Write and manage the annual appeal
  • Grants
  • Manage communiciations:  monthly E-Newsletter, two mailers per year, daily Facebook and website

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Minimum of 2 years of fundraising experience
  • Bi-lingual – Spanish/English or Indonesian/English
  • Comfortable in the language and life of faith, openness to a variety of religious experiences and aware of one’s own faith journey
  • Passionate about social justice and immigrant justice.
  • Highly motivated and independent worker
  • Desire to learn, grow and be challenged
  • Problem solving skills
  • Ability to work as part of team in a growing organization
  • Experience with community organizing

  • Bi-cultural and/or a member of the immigrant community

Salary: $35,000 per year plus benefits
