President Trump just turned the dreams of 800,000 young immigrants into nightmares. By ending the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, which gave work permits and deportation relief to undocumented youth known as Dreamers who were brought to the US at a young age, he has mercilessly devastated our immigrant neighbors’ futures.
This is a painful setback. Dreamers are our family, our neighbors, our fellow children of God. Every young immigrant needs to feel our support and solidarity right now.
Will you organize an event to pray with and for young people brutalized by this attack?
Now is the time to act. We must push Congress to pass the Dream Act to protect Dreamers.
