As a parent and a hunter, I know all too well the importance of utilizing gun safety. I keep my firearms in a locked safe at all times, and I have taught my children how to be respectful of guns and to know they are very dangerous.
Guns are a touchy subject in our country, and it makes sense with all of the violence and acts of horror we hear about. And while the number of gun owners is low, according to a recent article in the Washington Post, that doesn’t mean gun safety should be ignored.
I know many people keep guns in their home to protect against intruders, but guns should be locked up at all times, and there are other ways to ensure your home and valuables are safe.
