Over 850 faith leaders have already signed a letter urging all Members of Congress to cosponsor the Dream Act of 2017 (S.1615/H.R.3440) and pass a clean Dream Act immediately. We’re still inviting faith leaders & faith-based organizations to sign on to the faith letter so that we can reach our goal of 2,000 signatures by the end of this month. Please sign the letter and share this message with your networks by Wednesday, October 25th!
Continue to take action this month! Please join and organize Dream Sabbath events throughout the month of October.
Thousands of churches, synagogues, mosques and communities of worship have participated in “Dream Sabbath” events that lift up the stories, contributions, and leadership of Dreamers in worship services, vigils, and in communication with their Members of Congress. Congress needs to act immediately to protect Dreamers and pass a clean Dream Act of 2017. Members of Congress need to hear from faith communities all across the country.
The Interfaith Immigration Coalition has updated the Dream Sabbath toolkit, attached (PDF and Word) for you to use and share widely! Please dedicate a worship service to Dreamers, amplify Dreamers’ voices and their stories, and organize/join local vigils and other events!
