The U.S. House just passed its awful budget by a vote of 219-206. This is not the final say, as the Senate must pass its budget, and the chambers must then agree to a final bill. So, we must continue to fight horrible cuts to low-income programs.
The silver lining is that nine Representatives in Pennsylvania voted against the budget. That is thanks to your calls and messages!
We want to express our deep thanks to the following Congressmen – including four Republican members (of just 18 nationally) – all of whom had the courage to vote on behalf of their constituents, and low-income families throughout Pennsylvania.
Please take a minute to call their DC offices to say:
“Thank You for your NO vote on the budget!”
It is important for them to know their actions do not go unnoticed.
