Join or Organize a Vigil Supporting DACA/DREAMers

From Faith in Public Life (http://www.faithinpubliclife.org):

A youth pastor in Texas shares a story about the kids in her Sunday School coming to her, weeping, begging for prayers that their parents with DACA status would not be deported. Kids shouldn’t worry that their parents will be snatched from them by the government.

We have just one month left before DACA permanently expires on March 5th and hundreds of thousands of parents, sons, daughters and cousins lose protection from deportation. As people of faith, we must stand with these families in this hour of distress. Faith leaders around the country are holding vigils and other public events the week of February 26th to make sure that Congress knows the moral gravity of their inaction. Organize one or register to attend at http://fpl.actionkit.com/sign/Faith-Leaders-Stand-With-Dreamers_event.

More than 100 Dreamers are already losing their protection from deportation every single day. The time for action is now. Families and communities are being destroyed over a problem that we can fix.

Join us to call your Senators and Representative to account by registering to organize an action near you. This is a time when we as people of faith must stand firmly with our neighbors in their moment of need.
