Wear Red to Protect Access to Quality Care–Protect Community Health Centers

From Project H.O.M.E. (http://www.projecthome.org):

Why red? Because the time is now – funding for health centers is urgent. We wear red to protect access to quality care for millions of Americans, to sustain the backbone of primary care in this country, to ensure all Americans have an equal opportunity to live healthy and productive lives. Red is the color of urgency, passion and fire – and health center advocates will not back down.

We rally today in support of all health centers, including our Project HOME Stephen Klein Wellness Center, and the need for continued funding. Due to Congressional inaction, community health centers are facing a drastic reduction in funding. The Health Center Program has been on life support since October 1, 2017, and we can’t wait any longer for Congress to fix the Health Center Funding Cliff. If Congress does not act to restore funds, cuts will start on April 1, 2018

Take action with us to fix health center funding!

Send Congress a quick email at http://action.projecthome.org/p/dia/action4/common/public/?action_KEY=1057 about the importance of health center funding.

Please help us spread the word on social media, we will be posting videos throughout the day on Facebook and Twitter, so feel free to retweet and re-share our campaign. Learn more here: http://www.hcadvocacy.org/redalert. You can also follow the conversation on Twitter at #RedAlert4CHCs.
