“Women Vote,” A Get-Out-The-Vote (GOTV) Event—Call for MONOLOGUE Submissions

A coalition of community organizations is seeking monologue submissions for “Women Vote,” a series of monologues by a diverse group of women about the many reasons we vote.

Women are invited to share real-life anecdotes and monologues about love, loss, family, food, work, culture, education—anything that is part of their experience as women. Tell us about why you vote and what is important to you when you vote at http://goo.gl/forms/XVtmQ2ZUMZY00kg42.

The production is open to women. Selected women will present their pieces at the YWCA of Greater Harrisburg, located at 1101 Market Street, Harrisburg. Women who do not wish to perform may also be paired with another woman of similar background. You will have 5-10 minutes for your monologue.

The timeline for the project is as follows:

Submissions Due: Wednesday, June 29
Acceptances Emailed By: Wednesday, July 15
Performance Date: Thursday, September 15 – (Doors open at 6PM, Show begins at 6:30PM)
