PAIPL Shares September Newsletter—Check Out Hymn re: Floods, Seasonal Resources

From Pennsylvania Interfaith Power and Light (http://www.paipl.org):

September is here, and our hearts are filled with gratitude, and also with sorrow and pain in the face of suffering.  In this newsletter we offer you tools, activities, and ways to engage:

We share the gift of a hymn written by the Rev. Carolyn Gillette following the floods in Texas, Nepal, Bangladesh, and India —and now made freshly relevant by Irma.

You’ll find two chances to get involved with your congregation: a creative project with us in Pennsylvania, and a chance to win bragging rights (and maybe some cash!) through the national IPL.

Got your calendar open?  Check out these seasonal denominational resources, and some upcoming events.

Our Board met last week in Danville for our annual working Board Retreat… and we have a couple of Coming Attractions to share.

Finally, as our elected leaders head back to Washington, DC and Harrisburg, we’ve included a resource listing their district work days, and another with helps for respectfully and effectively focusing their attention on climate change and environmental justice as key considerations in so much of the work that they do.

As always: we invite you to share your stories and photos, successes, challenges, and dreams with this community.  Together we keep weaving this network of active hope.
