Urge the President to Make Human Rights a Priority in His Last 100 Days

From Amnesty International USA (http://www.amnestyusa.org):

It has been almost eight years since President Obama took office yet we still face incredible human rights challenges. Now with only 100 days left in office, we need to call on President Obama to put human rights first before he leaves office.

Tell President Obama to make human rights a priority in his last 100 days in office. Sign the pledge now!

This is our chance to elevate important human rights issues. Before he leaves office, we are calling on President Obama to:

  • Close the prison at Guantánamo Bay
  • Stop selling arms to countries that use them to commit war crimes and human rights violations.
  • Protect people who are fleeing violence in Central America.

President Obama said it best himself, “When the United States stands up for human rights, by example at home and by efforts abroad, we align ourselves with men and women around the world who struggle for the right to speak their minds, to choose their leaders, and to be treated with dignity and respect.

Now that he has 100 days left, join us in calling on President Obama to make human rights a priority. Sign the pledge!
