Share Your Priorities for Federal Spending for Tax Day

From the Coalition for Peace Action (http://www.peacecoalition.org/):

The deadline for filing federal income tax returns is almost here, and you may be wondering how your hard earned federal tax dollars are spent.

See pie chart above and click to see CFPA’s updated 2017 Federal Budget  Fact Sheet showing that 54% of discretionary spending (which excludes trust funds, such as Social Security and Medicare) is for the military!

For many years, CFPA has conducted an annual Penny Poll for area taxpayers to express their opinion on how they would like their federal tax dollars to be spent. This year we are experimenting with an Online Virtual Penny Poll.

Click here and take the Virtual Penny Poll by 8:00 AM on Monday, April 17. This year’s tax deadline is April 18, and we will share the results with the press and on our web site before that. We also encourage you to share the Virtual Penny Poll with your email and social media contacts to help spread the word!
