Earlier this month, Del-Chesco United for Pipeline Safety, a coalition of Delaware and Chester County community safety groups, launched a petition calling on Governor Wolf to halt construction of the Mariner East 2 Pipelines due to school and public safety concerns. The petition cites the governor’s duty to comply with the PA Health and Safety Statute, and to provide for the health, welfare and safety of Pennsylvanians. The petition currently has over 3,000 signatures, but more are needed before it is delivered to the Governor in Harrisburg in mid-October.
