We know how to end homelessness in Pennsylvania. By making homelessness a priority, the Governor will provide the leadership and will that is needed to move towards the day when homelessness in Pennsylvania is rare, brief, and nonrecurring.
A report released by the Joint State Government Commission outlined specific recommendations for eradicating homelessness in the state. We are respectfully requesting that the Governor implement these suggestions which include:
- Issue an Executive Order to end homelessness
- Reconstitute and strengthen the PA Interagency Council to End Homelessness, making it a cabinet level position.
- Align the PA plan to end homelessness with the federal plan
Please urge Gov. Wolf to take the next step, and focus state efforts on helping the most vulnerable populations obtain stable and safe housing. Go to https://www.governor.pa.gov/contact/ to send a message or to find phone, fax, and mail address.
