Get Involved: Switch to Clean Energy Today

From PennFuture (http://www.pennfuture.org):

Take the Power Back is a PennFuture initiative giving high school and college aged students the tools they need to start conversations with their parents and caregivers about switching to clean energy. The goal: to get as many families across the state as possible to visit www.papowerswitch.com and take the steps to switch to a clean energy provider for electric service in their homes.

How can you get involved?

  • Switch to clean energy as a family activity! Use the hashtag #TakeThePowerBack and #CleanEnergy so we can share your success.
  • Become a partner and help PennFuture spread the word at your high school or college campus. Contact rex@pennfuture.org to get involved.
  • Host a PennFuture speaker at your next community meeting to hear more about the effort and to educate your friends, neighbors and family on the easy steps you can take to switch to clean energy.

We have created a digital kit linked below, which includes social media graphics to share on Facebook and Twitter, conversation starters to use at home, and steps parents and caregivers can take at www.papowerswitch.com to easily switch to clean, renewable energy with the click of a mouse. Anyone can use the tools below to make the switch and spread the word!

Visiting www.papowerswitch.com is the easiest way you can take a stand against climate change and make a difference. While installing solar panels on your home may not be an immediate option for your family, making the switch to a utility company that uses 100 percent clean energy is easily in your grasp and allows you to reduce your carbon footprint today. In many cases, your energy costs will barely change as a result.
